Eugene PARKS and RECreate
Getting a public agency to rally around a brand is no easy task. It takes collaboration, creativity and buy-in. We were asked to create a wordmark, messaging and deliverables that would promote community engagement in the process of planning for the future of Eugene parks and recreation facilities for the next 10-20 years. We brought together more than a dozen members of two city departments and let the ideas fly. In the end, everyone felt like they’d contributed. The result was a fun, approachable and engaging wordmark that could be applied to pop-up events and communications. In addition to the wordmark and graphic standards, we created event graphics (signage, postcards and T-shirts), promotional materials (print and digital ads and collateral), digital assets, photography and messaging for communications. We also edited and designed a colorful, branded newsletter, Picture Your Parks, that informed residents and encouraged them to get involved in the process.
