Angel Hair Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that helps children in Oregon who have suffered hair loss due to a medical illness. The foundation provides the funding needed to purchase an “Angel Hair System,” a high-quality medical prosthesis that helps to provide kids with confidence and self-esteem. Each year, we’re happy to be involved with their biggest fundraiser, the “Shall We Dance” event. We help by designing “save the date” invites, billboards, posters, table-top signs and more that all incorporate a unique annual theme. We want their brand to feel uplifting and hopeful to reflect the work they do. We also designed and manage their website, and we put together instructional and testimonial videos featuring some of the children who’ve been helped by Angel Hair Foundation. Angel Hair’s mission is especially personal for Liz, one of our designers, because her daughter, Kate, wore one of the prostheses for a period of time after being diagnosed with a benign brain tumor at age 6 that caused her to lose her sight. Thankfully, after undergoing chemotherapy, Kate has regained her sight in one eye and remains stable and is doing well today. Liz says Angel Hair Foundation was a godsend during the ordeal, and she and the rest of us at Turell Group appreciate the opportunity to assist an organization that helps children and their families at a most vulnerable time.
