OSU Athletics/Nike unveils new branding
I know my fellow die hard Ducks fans (and everyone in this office) may not acknowledge the fact that there’s another university in this state, but check out the OSU athletics rebranding effort. I’m liking a lot about this modernized visual direction.
It’s a great brand evolution without abandoning a strong tradition and a faithful fan base. When re-designing a logo it’s vital to focus on what the key brand strengths are and highlight them in a way that is relevant today, but will also have longevity. Also liking that copper highlight color! Maybe this new fierce-looking and forward-moving Beaver icon can help give bite into the future direction of a solid sports program. As a fan of fresh design, I might have to pick up one of these sweet new jerseys to wear around the office on Fridays.
